The Riverwalk in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is always one of the highlights when we visit.
Time to store the college bicycle. Flat tires and hill weren’t anticipated.
It was a great year with a lot of happiness... only the end was sad.
It was a weird experience to pull into Tuscaloosa and businesses were sort of open. Seeing people out and about was so different after we had spent so much time inside our house these last couple of months.
Restaurants weren't quite completely open, but you could have 10 people at a time inside the business. As you can see from the X's on the ground, social distancing was definitely in place. Ashton and I took advantage of the situation and celebrated with burritos!
After a couple of months at home, Ashton got a scheduled time to move out of her dorm room. It was both happy and sad, but mostly it was rainy.
You know you are living though a Pandemic when the University of Illinois is handing out free masks.
I hope I'm wearing it correctly.
I'm Michael Smith and this website is simply documentation of our travels over the course of 500 days. We are very lucky. We went bowling ... and some other stuff.
