Who says Mondays aren’t great? Supposed by Rend Lake on the way to Nashville, Tennessee.
Golf with Mr. Tony on a beautiful November day. 50 degrees, sunshine, little wind. Perfect. This is an old picture as there are now more leaves on the ground than on the trees, but you get the idea.
Who knew the golf course I played in Mexico served as host for Golf Channel’s Big Break Mexico in 2013. I may need to go back an rewatch it on YouTube.
https://www.golfchannel.com/topics/shows/big-break-mexico.htm Golf course was beautiful. My golf game... not so much.
http://golf.iberostar.com/cancun/campos-de-golf/iberostar-cancun-golf-club/descripcion It wasn’t Vermont or New Hampshire but it was still very pretty. And windy.
A sad, sad day. I went to Oakland on a beautiful fall Friday afternoon to play golf. Unfortunately, when I got there I was informed the course is going to close for good on November 1. I have played hundreds of rounds there with some of the best people I know. I’ve seen kids grow up on the course and so many teachers/coaches come and go, but not before they spent a lot of time at Norton Knolls. It changed ever so slightly over the years, had new owners, and I moved on, but it was still a great place to go back and play golf.
I made my only hole-in-one on #8. I found out Shannon was pregnant with Ashton after coming home from Norton Knolls one Sunday morning. I’ve been lucky enough to play “better” courses and have been a member of “nicer” courses, but still during this year off when I can do anything I want... I had Norton Knolls down as my #1 golf course to play. Thank you to Jim, Harold, Terry, and Ez. Thank you to Norton Knolls. It will be missed. |
