This is Shannon’s grandma’s hometown St. Gertrude’s-Kapelle Catholic church in Oberreifenberg, Germany. She and her younger brother Walter attended with their family until she was about 10. Uncle Walter may have carved his initials in the front pew. During this trip, we saw bigger and more lavish churches, but this one is special.
