Across the street from Cafe Du Monde is Jackson Square, the site of the Louisiana Purchase. The St. Louis Cathedral can also be found here where Pope John Paul II worshipped in 1987. The square is surrounded by buildings with balconies and trees hanging with the iconic purple, gold, and green beads.
We made our way to Jackson Square to get a taste of the famous Cafe Du Monde beignets. When the line is the length of almost an entire city block, you know they must be good. Luckily it was a pretty quick wait and we were inside enjoying these NOLA delicacies.
After walking down Bourbon Street, we stopped at Killer PoBoys for dinner. Pictured are BBQ Chicken and Roasted Sweet Potato PoBoys.
http://www.killerpoboys.com/ Our first stop was the Convention Center in order to pick up our race packets. The map shows the race route along NOLA.
The waiter at the Hash House was nice enough to give me a recommendation on a barbershop.
Driving back from Utah to Las Vegas, we stopped at another Drive In, Diners, and Dives. And it was great. The best meal of the trip!
https://www.foodnetwork.com/restaurants/nv/las-vegas/hash-house-a-go-go-restaurant I hope to take enough good pictures to have 10-12 to decorate a wall in our new house. I didn’t know it when I snapped it, but the first one here may be on the list.
Our last hike in Zion, Utah, and of this trip.
